A step in the right direction
In my last post I mentioned that I would post links to a couple of popular websites concerning yaoi and the general finding thereof. And, true to my word, here they are:
1. Aarinfantasy’s Forum
A very good starting point. Aarinfantasy has been around for a long time, and as such is a rich repository of yaoi goodness. Here you’ll find scanlations of both original and doujin manga and anthologies, fanworks, subbed anime and OVA’s and plenty of news, info and reviews. Aarinfantasy caters to fans from all walks of life, and from one end of the spectrum to the other. The tag cloud makes searching a breeze, and ensures you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.
You should note though, that the site requires registration. But, as it’s free and easy to sign up, I doubt this will be a problem. You can also do your bit to keep Aarinfantasy spreading the yaoi love by donating to the site! All-in-all, Aarinfantasy is the go-to site for all your yaoi needs.

I’ve found that Nihonomaru can be somewhat tricky for those not sure of what they’re looking for. However, that’s not to say that Nihonomaru is at all lacking. It’s a great resource for both raw and scanlated manga of all genres, and if you need to find out exactly just who that specific mangaka is, or who drew that one exquisite picture . then all you have to do is post a picture in one of the numerous yaoi threads and it’s almost guaranteed you’ll have an answer shortly.
Nihonomaru’s search engine is both fast and accurate and really delivers. The users are generally friendly, helpful and courteous as long as you respond in kind. As with Aarinfantasy, it is a member-only site, though registration is a simple and hassle-free affair. Nihonomaru is definitely a true gem amongst yaoi sharing sites.
