Why Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi is good for yaoi first timer?
If you are new to yaoi anime, you would definitely like Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi DVD or it can be refer as World's Greatest First Love. Although yaoi is considered a niche genre compare to the more mainstream anime but it has been gaining larger followers significantly in the recent years. Yaoi's story is often based on female-orientated-fanservice, thus it's extremely popular among female fans. Compare to other yaoi anime such as Hyakujitsu no Bara/Maiden Rose, Ai no Kusabi or even Junjo Romantica: Pure Romance by the same creator of it, Sekai Ichi hatsukoi is considered a yaoi anime that focus more on its story and comedy rather than about about kisses in between 2 guys, nevertheless kiss is must in yaoi anime….:)
This is how the story goes; Even though Ritsu Onodera hates to rely on family connections, he winds up taking a job as an editor at his parents' company, Marukawa Books. And on top of that, he has an awful first impression of his high-handed editor in chief, Masamune Takano. What comes after is a story of first love full of tears and laughter.

The anime's OP is "Sekai de Ichiban Koishiteru" and it is by Shuuhei Kita. Shuuhei's voice is really amazing and it goes well with a rock beat to it. The OP sequence, some how it's not as awesome as the anime's OP though I find it extremely "gay".
Overall Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi is suitable for the "yaoi virgin" with the interesting cast, story plot, and romantic setups rather than focusing on 2 guys locking lips to each other. Personally i will go for Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi then Junjo Romantica: Pure Romance. apart from similar character, similar high school plot, similar character design, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi is definitely 1 class higher.
