Day 45 To Evoke the Goat

Day 45: To Evoke the Goat.

Between the horns, a candle lights.

And before the skull is laid the feast of Red.

Red bread for the body, red wine for the blood.

Red as the flowing of life.

Red as the lust of He Goat.

And Red as the sacrificial river flowing from the veins of the King of the Mounds.

Three nails for the Christ King.

One for the purity of the crown. One for the truthfulness of the spirit. One for the deep power of the soul.

Three times did he sigh. And three times did the heavens answer.

And in his final words he ascended to the heavens, and descended into Hell, all the time the He Goat his guide, the heavenly father his crown.

And then he ascended into the stars, and sits at the right hand of God, and judges the living and the dead in wisdom.

And from the cup is brought forth the bread of life.

One for the Father, One for the Son, and one for the Holy Spirit of the Mother.

In nomine Patri, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.

Traditional Witchcraft for me, is an access to traditions and practices of my people, I’m a English/German mutt. What traditional witchcraft is, is always up for debate, as it varies between practitioners. Most commonly its probably witchcraft separated from Wiccan influence. Which is accurate, but its more then that. Its the following of the European Witch-Cult. Following the witch lore surrounding European cultures, usually with a set of core beliefs that are usually sabbatic flight, spirits, a search for inner truth, the projection of ones will through magickal forces in order to enact change the witch seeks.

Trad craft for me, and how I practice is its a way of worshiping the world, and by world I mean the Nature, and the cosmic forces follow. In my trad craft, Nature is sacred, its the power in which we all flow, as for gods they are but born from nature. Nature to me is the root of everything in my praxis. nature is the power in which I call.

What this means is nothing is above nature. My praxis is rooted in this, and everything is born throughout that core belief. For me trad craft consist of a belief in some form of spirit, or spirit force, this is the idea that plants/animals/humans/ and other exist out somewhere in the force of spirit, that everything has spirit in them, and as such these beings like a Mandrake plant for example have a greater accumulation of power and knowledge in which you are able to tap into and call forth.

Power resides to me in the land, the land is in which we all live on, the Dragon’s Pulse runs through the land and in my craft I tap into the Dragon’s Fire and pull power and direct it to what I want. I need a conduit in order to tap into this, which for me resides in chanting, sex, flight and rituals.

Traditional Witchcraft is my spirituality. Its the manifestation of my spirit in the form of magickal force. I’m tapping into my spirit in order to make the world work for me. I was born into nature and nature allows me to change the world into what i want. At a price. None of my magick has a threefold law, nor is there an idea of karmic holding onto a user who uses magick. But there is a low of cause and effect. Every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. In order for me to manifest a change something of equal value must be given, without this sacrifice a chain reaction can occur and the ripples will go unhindered and befall on the person who ask for the change to occur, in some form of another, it doesn’t have to be the person but someone will feel the affects of the power.

So what is trad craft to me? My religion. Witchcraft is my religion, it has its own laws, own ethical problems, own spirituality in which I can achieve a higher-self in which I want. I root my self deep within the earth, I can feel the pulse of Dragon’s breathe upon me feel its warmth, I can tap into the light of the moon and channel cosmic forces down in order to conjure magicks and change the world through my eyes, fix the things I want. Most of my magick is connecting with nature, on a spiritual level in order to gain access to even more power. Its the expression of my spirit within, coming to terms to the nature laws that govern my life and every life in the world.

Anonymous asked: Could you explain familiars in more detail? I'm a little confused as to what they are, there seem to be a lot of interpretations. Or perhaps some people are just wrong, idk.

Hm…what more detail do you need? I have written extensively on this subject.

Anonymous asked: I'm sure you've been asked this before so I hope you don't mind. For someone who wants a book that covers all the bases including the when and how to practice old craft, which book would you recommend out these two - Authentic Witchcraft by Magnus or Treading the Mill by Nigel Pearson? Thanks.

Neither. I recommend starting with a history book. Both of these are really DIY books, and, ultimately, the respective author’s opinion. Grayson’s is, basically, a rehash of La Sorciere, and Pearson is like Jackson, but a little less substance and a bit more fluff.

man

The thing about old craft practice is that one needs to read many, many books (mostly academic in nature) before one gets a feel for it. I mean, you could just toss yourself at Chumbley, but a lot of the language is very cryptic and can be lost on the neophyte. (Wow, now -that- was a pretentious sentence!)

Hum, chum, chum…I say get both XD because eventually you will read both.

hausofsageandcrystals asked: Hi there, I just came across your tumblr this morning. I was wondering if you can help me? I'm currently studying and trying to practice traditional witchcraft but there's little information on the core 'beliefs' and practices on the Internet. I am getting books but they are expensive. Can you advise me, in a nutshell, the basic beliefs, tools, exercises and activities I can do every day or on weekends to expand my knowledge and build my power? Many thanks and may you be blessed with light

I wouldn’t say I’m a great resource for traditional witchcraft, but I can give you a list of folks who are. Try talking to these people, they’re the ones I would go to with questions. They’re all wonderful and very knowledgeable:
